It's a saturday evening, and I don't want to write this article, but I have made a commitment on Instagram that I will publish this tomorrow morning, so here we go!
Productivity is being able to do things that you were never able to do before.” ~ Franz Kafka.
I'm a minimalist and I prefer things to be that way. I don't want to accomplish 10 tasks in one day, but I do want to accomplish the 3 most important ones, my MITs. I'm not a CEO of a million dollar company. That would be outlandish and fantastic, and neither I claim that this article will change your life. But if you follow the process mentioned in this article, it might probably help you get more shit done than before.

So, without any further ado, let's get cracking.
Brain.fm is a music streaming service which provide AI-powered music for the brain. Their music is absurdly great for highly focused work like programming, writing, designing or any sort of deep work. They also provide music for relaxation, meditation, and sleep.
It is not free, they do charge you on monthly and yearly basis. But, I have been using Brain.fm for the last 2 years and I have a lifetime membership and I can proudly say it's one of the great possessions of my life.
I can't imagine a day in my life without Brain.fm, and without the Brain.fm music, this article would still be a draft.
2. Some good Noise-cancelling Headphones
Noise-cancelling headphones are really good in blocking noise that might disturb you while working or studying. Put on some decent noise-cancelling headphones and play brain.fm music, and you'll easily ramp up your productivity.
I don't use any To-do list apps, but I do use KanbanFlow. It's a free Trello-like web app which you can use to list all your activities and tasks in a Kanban Board so you work through them quite easily.
Here is a screenshot to give you a basic idea:
In KanbanFlow, I make 7 columns for each day in the week, and 3 columns for "Do Today", "In progress", and "Done". I fill up the weekdays columns on Sunday before the week starts, with some rough estimation of what I might be working on each day. And on each weekday, in morning, I use the ""Do Today", "In progress", and "Done" columns to track my progress.
KanbanFlow also provides Pomodoro timer, so I use the Pomodoro timer on each task with 50 minutes for work and 10 minutes for break.
Headspace is an app I use for guided meditation, and I recently started using it. Before starting Headspace, I knew nothing about meditation, and I thought meditation is only for monks who just sit on floor and meditate entire day. But it has changed my understanding of meditation completely. They provide a free trial, so go ahead and check them out.
5. Solitude (Spending Time Alone)
Now, that's something I really enjoy doing in my free time. Give me a book, an empty room and I can change the world. That's probably because I'm an Introvert (an INTJ), and the feeling of solitude comes naturally to me, but I realize this might be pretty daunting for extroverts who like to go out and meet a lot of people. For me, meeting a lot of people is very mentally exhausting.
But I do advice you to spend one day in a week alone, in a room with a book you really like and with no gadgets. You will realize that it is actually pretty refreshing to be alone in solitude with yourself.
Sometimes all it takes is a deep breath of solace and enjoy the peaceful environment around you as you reflect on where you are in life and the exciting adventures ahead of you.
As May Sarton said:
Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is the richness of self. ~ May Sarton.
6. Bonus: Just Take a Break
Sit around, go on Reddit or Twitter, watch your favorite TV series (mine are The Big Bang Theory, The Flash and Young Sheldon), pursue your other hobbies, be unproductive every once in a while. Just chill for an hour after a long session of work, reward yourself every now and then with something nice.
